A birthday present for a lolita friend of mine! Her party is on Saturday, and I'm really excited; we're going to a fancy hotel for tea *A* which I've never done before. I'm like, ironing out my outfit as we speak ... *nerd nerd*.

Anyhow, I don't know if you can tell from the smaller version of this picture but it TOOK ME FOREVER, and now I'm depressed that my canvas size is only half the size of a piece of paper (5.5 x 8.5) *A* I need to teach myself to draw on larger canvases, if I ever want to put things in a gallery and NOT stick to making postcards ... *cry*.

This is my new style, folks! I hope you like it ♥ It's been a while in the making but this is the style I'm going to be following along from this point onwards : ) It allows me to be a lot more creative since I don't have to color in the lines, but I've still got the 'safety net' of drawing a sort of sketchy linework to help me out.

While this is a birthday present it's also sort of a thank you/tribute to my idols, Sakizou (from my journal) and ProdigyBombay. I've been snagging bits and pieces of their style for a while now, and I think this piece shows it pretty blatantly XD; I hope to develop something my own from this! : >
